Replacing Drive For Sun Roller Blind

Removing and Installing or Replacing Drive For Sun Roller Blind

Remove rear shelf.

Caution! Do not power up the drive mechanism if it is not completely connected to the system. If sun roller blind is not completely rolled up, there is spring pressure on the linkage.

In this case, hold the sun roller blind under pretension, carefully lever out the linkage and allow the roller blind to roll up slowly.

Unclip retaining clips and lever out left and right linkages.

Unfasten clips, loosen screws and lever out drive unit.

Installation:
Only tighten screws loosely.

Unfasten screw and remove drive disc with linkage.

Position drive disk with linkage on new flat motor. The drive disk only fits onto the shaft in one position. The star in the drive disk is flattened on one side. If the drive disk has a hexagon guide, this guide must also be replaced. See further on in this document.

Pull out roller sun blind until the linkage on the left and right can be suspended. Reinstall retaining clips.

Supply the flat motor with voltage and allow the roller sun blind to extend and retract once completely. The extend the roller sun blind again until the linkage has a clearance of approx. 10 to 15cm.

The clearance on the left and right must be roughly the same. If this is not the case, adjust the flat motor in its longitudinal direction and then secure.

Model with hexagon guide in the drive disk:

bore out rivets in drive disk and remove both linkage assemblies.

Install linkage on new drive disk with pin (1) and retaining rings (2)
