Quarter Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing Complete Left or Right Electrical Window Regulators (Convertible)

Note: Whenever battery power is interrupted to window motors, Initialize Windows Initialization of Window Regulator

Remove side trim panel,

Remove automatic seat belt tensioner,

Lower side windows and opening convertible soft top.







Remove cavity trim (rubber) by pulling upwards and leave attached (hanging loose).
Loosen screws and remove window cavity trim.


NOTE:
Front sheet nut tends to drop off easily.
Close side window.






Remove plug from window regulator motor.







Loosen lower screws and upper nuts.







Tighten screws down fully.
Dimensions (C) and (D) = 0 mm
Remove window regulators by lifting upwards.







Installation:
Preset dimensions (C) and (D) before actuating the window regulator (breakage of window glass).

Dimension (C) = 14 mm
Dimension (D) = 9 mm







Installation:
Initial preloading adjustment:

Preset outer adjusting screw until flush.
Function test.
Adjust side windows,
