Checking/Topping Up Oil Level In Automatic Transmission (A5S 310Z)

Caution: Use suitable transmission oil.

1. Topping Up Transmission Oil After A Repair.
Selector lever in setting "P".
The vehicle must be horizontal and secured to prevent it from rolling away.





Unfasten filler screw (2).

Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Tightening torque: refer to Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Specifications.
Top up automatic transmission until oil emerges at filler/overflow bore.
Start engine.
Top up automatic transmission until oil emerges at filler/overflow bore.
Screw in filler screw (2).
Operate brake and change up and down all gears at idle speed.
Connect BMW Diagnosis and Information System (DIS) and/or BMW MoDiC to vehicle and perform oil check in accordance with instructions.

2. Checking Oil Level:
Connect BMW Diagnosis and Information System (DIS) and/or BMW MoDiC to vehicle and perform oil check in accordance with instructions.
