Upper

Replacing one upper control arm

Caution: After completion of work, perform chassis alignment check, refer to Wheels, tires and Alignment.

Remove barrel spring, refer to Coil Spring, Suspension.





Unscrew stabilizer support.





Unscrew screw.

Installation:
Tightening Torque, refer to Specifications.





Unfasten final drive, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain (without detaching output shafts).
Move final drive back as far as possible using special tool 33 4 390.
Unclip power cable for brake lining wear indicator and ABS sensor.
Unscrew bolt on rear axle carrier.

Installation:
Tightening Torque, refer to Specifications.
