Bleeding Power Steering Unit

Caution: Before removing the oil tank cap, clean the tank and its immediate vicinity thoroughly. No dirt is allowed to enter the system.

1. Topping up when engine stationary.
Fill oil tank until level reaches "MAX" mark on dipstick. Use BMW approved power steering fluid or equivalent.
2. Bleeding:
Start engine.
Turn steering wheel twice each as far as left and right lock.
3. Oil level check with engine off.
Top up hydraulic fluid to "MAX".
