Oil Pressure Sender: Service and Repair




Replacing oil-pressure switch

Applies to all engines:
Release oil-filter cover so that oil from oil filter returns to oil pan.

Installation:

Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Oil Level Display:




Check oil level.

Disconnect connector.







M40:
Disconnect intake hose from suction-filter housing intake fitting
Unscrew switch.

Installation:

Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Oil Level Display:












M50:
Remove complete suction filter.
Disconnect air hose for alternator.
Unscrew switch.

Installation:

Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Oil Level Display:












S50:
Removing suction-filter housing.
Disconnect plug-in connection (1).
Unfasten screw (2) on heat-protection plate.
Loosen hose clip (3) from intake hose.
Loosen screws (4).
Lift suction-filter housing sightly.







Pull off intake neck.
Pull off air hose (1).
Remove suction-filter housing.
Remove heat-protection plate.







Disconnect plug-in connection (1).
Unscrew and remove oil-pressure switch.


NOTE: Oil-pressure switch on oil-filter base.


Installation:

Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Oil Level Display:






M 43:
Remove alternator,







Remove mounting block for alternator.







Disconnect connector.
Unscrew and remove oil-pressure switch.


Installation:
Tightening torque 61 31 2AZ.
