Convertible Top Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing and installing or replacing cabriolet soft-top module (CVM)

Caution!
Activating rollover protection system before disassembly, Service and Repair

Remove insert for side trim panel, Front Trim






With BMW SERVICE TESTER or MoDiC:
- Read and record meter readings on cabriolet module
- Meter reading for number of times soft top was closed
- Meter reading for rollover protection system
- Encode new control unit with MoDiC e.g.: installed equipment
- Initializing motor-driven soft top, Initializing EM Convertible Top After Emergency Release (Convertible Top Unlocked)






Unfasten screws from cabriolet soft-top module (1).

Disconnect connector.
