Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor

- Interrogate fault memory of DME Control unit.
- Switch off ignition




- Remove cover from injection valves.




- Unclip connection for crankcase venting.




Installation location of temperature sensor: Under the front intake air manifold.

Installation Note: Check coolant level and top up coolant if necessary.




- Unfasten plug connection (1) (Illustrated here without Intake air manifold).
- Unscrew and remove double temperature sensor for Digital Motor Electronics (DME) and coolant indicator.

Tightening Torque = 13 Nm.

Installation Note: Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit1 check faults In memory rectify faults and clear fault memory.
