Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

- Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Switch off ignition.
- Remove intake filter housing.
- Remove throttle body.

NOTE: Cables and throttle valve preheating unit remain connected.




- Unfasten guide tube for dipstick.




- Depress interlock and disconnect plug connection.
- Unfasten two screws and remove idle speed actuator.




- Remove gasket (1).
- Remove rubber clip (2).
- Unfasten hose clip (3) and remove hose.

Installation Note: Replace gasket (1). Coat housing of idle speed control valve with anti-friction coating.

- Check engine idle speed.
- Interrogate fault memory of DME-control unit, check faults in memory then cancel fault memory.
