Air Door Cable: Adjustments

Adjusting Bowden Cable For Ventilation Flap
- Remove glove box.




(Coupe/Cabrio)
- Remove trim panel at bottom right. Set air volume rotary switch (1) to "4".




- Ensure that Bowden cable is clipped in correctly. Hold air volume rotary switch (1) tight and push lever (2) back. This causes the clipped in internal wire of Bowden cable to slide through the retainer. Set air volume rotary switch (1) to "0". This causes the internal wire to slip into correct position in the retainer.




(Compact Only)
- Remove trim panel at bottom right. Set rotary knob (3) for temperature adjustment to 12 o'clock.




- Press actuator lever (4) in direction of arrow as far as case detent and clip in Bowden cable. Turn rotary knob (3) firmly in direction of HOT as far as stop (approx. 4 o'clock). During this procedure, Bowden cable core pulls through clip into correct position, thereby eliminating all excess clearance in the system.
