Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair

(cylinder head removed)
Preliminary work is described in section on dismantling and assembling the cylinder head, refer to Cylinder Head, Service and Repair.
Remove all valve springs, refer to Valve Spring, Service and Repair.





Remove valve stem seal with special tool 11 1 480.





Lubricate valve stem with oil and insert valve. Fit special tool 11 1 960.
Coat new valve stem seal (1) with oil and install.





Press valve stem seal firmly home by hand with special tool 11 1 200.
