Checking Front Disks For Runout and Thickness Variation

NOTE: Wheel bearing clearance must be OK for this inspection.





- Mount brake disk with two bolts.
- Turn back brake linings (brake disk must not scrape).
- Mount special tool 00 2 510 (dial gauge) on spring strut using a magnetic holder.
- Apply dial-gauge tip on outer edge of brake disk with light preload.
- Turn brake disk slowly and read lateral runout, refer to Dimensions. Specifications





- Measure thickness deviation at about 8 points on brake surface using a micrometer, refer to Dimensions. Specifications
