Replacement

NOTE:
- Remove wheels
- Remove and clean brake linings if necessary.

CAUTION:
- If thickness of brake disks fall below a minimum value (MIN TH) the old brake lining set can still be used up. Refer to Dimensions. Specifications
- New brake linings must not be installed unless brake disk thickness is greater than or equal to minimum thickness (MIN TH), refer to Dimensions. Specifications
- Brake disks must be exchanged in pairs (i.e. according to axle).





- Unfasten screws (1), remove brake caliper and fasten up.

NOTE: Brake hose remains connected.

- Installation: For tightening torque, refer to Tightening. Service and Repair





- Unscrew bolts and take off brake disk.

NOTE:
- Brake disks on the M3 are directional and an odd parts number (i.e. odd/even) indicates the left brake disk.
- An even parts number indicates the right brake disk.

- Installation: Tightening torque, refer to Tightening. Specifications





CAUTION:
- Inboard-vented brake disks are balanced.
- Never remove or reposition balance clips.
