Accelerator Pedal Position (DKV)

The position of the accelerator pedal is supplied to the ASC control nit by the Electronic Throttle Regulation (EML). It exists as a pulsed signal at a constant frequency, with a varying duty cycle.

As the position of the accelerator pedal changes, the duty cycle is modified to indicate the pedal position. The signal, therefore is proportional to the position of the accelerator pedal. The signal is also shared by the EGS control unit (if equipped).

The wire lead from EML is shielded to prevent the induction of a foreign signal by an outside influence.
