Replacing Micro Switch




- Remove side panelling.
- S3 micro-switch "soft top stowed" Micro-switch cuts in once soft top is stowed in convertible top compartment.


NOTE: Convertible top lid is not closed until it receives a signal from this micro-switch. In addition, the rear-windscreen fan is switched off once soft top is stowed in convertible top compartment.




- Release screw with special tool 54 3 160.
- Disconnect connector.




- Turn holder towards front of vehicle.
- Remove switch.

Installation note: After assembly, fault memory in Convertible Cover Module must be cancelled and the cover must be reinitialized.




- Check setting:
- Disconnect convertible top drive units.
- Place convertible top in convertible top compartment, press down to limit position, then relieve pressure on convertible top.
- Connect MoDiC.
- Micro-switch "convertible top stowed"
- Select switch 3.
- Set micro-switch in such a way that micro-switch cuts in.
- Micro-switch: tighten adjusting screws.
