Replacing Both Seat Rails on Front Seats (Manual)

NOTE:
Remove seat,
Remove seat cushion padding,







Lift out securing plugs at front and rear and remove plate (1).







Installation:
Retainer must fit central to the counterpiece.

Press on plate and install plugs.







Remove left and right screw.







Unscrew bolts.







Pull off retainer (1) upwards and unclip ball socket (2). Push back and disconnect cable (3).
Remove rubber strap (4).

Installation:
If applicable, lock new retainer (refer to BMW Parts) by bending with special tool 52 0 050.







Installation:
Pull cable forward until operation is just free of play and install new retainer.

Pull complete seat rails off frame.
