Replacing One Cable on Front Seat (Manual)




Removing and installing or replacing one cable on left or right front seat (manual)


Remove seat,
Remove cushion padding,
Removing seat shell,







Bowden cable for longitudinal adjustment:
Pull off retainer upwards.







Installation:
Pull Bowden cable forwards until actuation just becomes free of clearance, then fit new clips.







Unclip ball head.







Push cable forward and detach it.







Press cable core (1) into cable sleeve and unhook lead seal (2).







Compress retaining hooks and unclip cable.

Installation:
Ensure correct engagement.







Bowden cable for height adjustment:
Pull off retainer.







Installation:
Ensure that seat is correctly locked in upright position.

Press down on seat ("locking click" must be clearly heard).
Move cable sleeve back and forth of "settle" the cable (free of play).


CAUTION!
Do not pull on cable
.


Use new retainer.







Pull off ball bead.







Push cable back and disconnect it.







Press cable core (1) into cable sleeve and unhook lead seal (2).







Compress retaining hooks and unclip cable.

Installation:
Ensure correct engagement.







Bowden cable for backrest adjustment:
Pull off retainer.

Installation:
Backrest lock must engage correctly.

Move backrest back and forth ("locking click" of locking pawl will be clearly heard).
Move cable sleeve back and forth of "settle" the cable (free of play).


CAUTION!
Do not pull on cable
.


Use new retainer.







Pull off ball head.







Push cable back and disconnect it.







Press cable core (1) into cable sleeve and unhook lead seal (2).







Compress retaining hooks and Unclip cable.

Installation:
Ensure correct engagement.

Installation:
Check cable adjustment in installed state.
