Replacing Seat Backrest Frame on Front Seat (Power)

Removing and installing or replacing seat backrest frame on left or right front seat (power)


Remove seat,
Remove seat cushion padding,
Remove seat backrest shell,

If applicable, remove lumbar support drive,

Move up seat at front and rear ends as far as possible.







Remove screw and remove shoe guard.







Lift out securing plugs at front and rear and remove plate (1).







Installation:
Retainer must fit central to the counterpiece.

Press on plate and install plugs.







Loosen cable straps.
Disconnect plugs (1 and 2).
Unlock and pull off plug receptacle in forwards direction.







Remove screws and fold up cushion shell together with wire harness.







Remove screws (1 and 2) and remove backrest control drive.







Unscrew screws (3 and 4) and remove rear end up/down control drive.







Coupe:
Remove screw (2) and leave steel cable hanging on the cushion shell.







Unscrew left and right bolts.
Pull off complete seat rails in forward direction.







Connect special tools 61 2 071 and 61 2 072 (adapter leads) on white plug and 12 V power supply source.
Check function.
