Electrical - Mechanical (EM) Top

REPLACING BOTH BOWDEN CABLES FOR CONVERTIBLE TOP LID LOCKS:

- Remove left luggage compartment trim.




- Unfasten tab washers and disconnect Bowden cables (1) and (2) from motor.




With Bowden cable on right, additional:
- Partially remove trim on partition wall.
- Lift out omega clips and remove complete Bowden cable.




- Open side windows.
- Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.




- Unfasten retaining device and disconnect Bowden cable.
- Press together locking device and lift Bowden cable out from underneath.

Installation Note: Insert Bowden cable through rear locating bore and secure (front bore only for mechanical convertible top). Check adjustment of convertible lid drive. Check function.
