Replacing Bowden Cable (Convertible Top Lid)

Removing and installing / replacing Bowden cable (convertible top lid)






Open side windows.

Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.

Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.

Removing left convertible top lid lock, Left Side






Remove tab washers (1) and (2).

Squeeze together locking device and lift out Bowden cable.






Lift out cover on reversing mechanism.

Lift out retaining plate and disconnect Bowden cable. Squeeze together locking device and lift out Bowden cable.






Installation:

Adjust Bowden cable to zero backlash.
