Replacing Rear Trim Panel

Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Rear Trim Panel (Convertible)

Open side windows, convertible cover and convertible cover box.
Removing rear seat and backrest,

Unfasten bottom seatbelt tape,








Only mechanical convertible top, left side:
Lift out insert for release lever (forwards).







Lift out insert (forwards).







Unfasten rivet (1) and pull cover (2) out of edge protector (3).







Lift finisher (1) upwards and pull out of gasket (2). Disconnect spring (3) from linkage.







Partially loosen edge protection (1).
Unscrew bolt (2).
Pull side trim panel inwards to unclip and lift upwards to remove.
Separate webbing.

Installation:
Fit screw (2) with washer.







NOTE: On older version, screw is outside the insert.


Partially loosen edge protection (1).
Unfasten screw.
Pull side trim panel inwards to unclip, then pull upwards to remove.
Separate webbing.







Installation:
Insert guide (1) for side trim panel in groove (2) of inside cover strip.







Only replacement (complete cover for linkage aperture):
Unfasten screws (1) and (2) with washers.
Pull complete cover for linkage aperture (3) backwards to remove.

Installation:
Screw (2) for plastic.







Only replacement (cover for linkage aperture):
If necessary, lift out clip (1) and slide out sliding section (2), press locking fixture (3) slightly apart to do so.
If necessary, lift out speed nut (4) and finisher (5).







Only replace:
Unfasten screws (1) with tab washer.
Lift out seatbelt guide (2) and remove.

Installation:
Fit edge protector (3).







Only replace:
Unfasten screw (1) and remove rail (2). Remove clip (3).
