Assembling Front Door Trim Panel

Disassembling and Assembling Left or Right Front Door Trim Panel


Remove door trim panel,







If applicable, remove loudspeakers.

Installation note:
If applicable, secure loudspeaker plugs to door with wire straps to prevent rattling noise.







Installation note:
If applicable, cut loudspeaker recess (1) around embossed front area.

Only HiFi loudspeaker system:
Also cut around embossed front section (2).







If embossing is missing, mark and cut loudspeaker openings to the following dimensions:
A = 133 mm
B = 46 mm
C = 24 mm
D = 39 mm
R1 = 2,5 mm
R2 = 26 mm
R3 = 42 mm







Loosen screws and remove brace.







4-door Models:
Drill off plastic pins and remove inlet of door trim panel.







Remove handle.







NOTE: Attach spacer (1) with adhesive since it would not otherwise be possible to fit the trim around the door handle.







Cut hole for the inlet to avoid tension on the cover.







Cut opening for door opener and mounting screws.
Also cut opening (1) for the outside mirror switch on the driver's side.







Install and screw on new inlet.








Shorten all plastic pins to size (A) as otherwise the plastic sheet would be damaged.
Distance (A) = 1 mm
