54 10 100 Removing And Installing Glass Tilt Roof Cover (Z3 Coupe, M Coupe)







Press button and open glass roof cover.







Release locking washer (1) on left/right and drive out pin (2) towards rear.

Installation:
If the pin cannot be installed at one end, close the glass roof cover a little.
Push on new locking washer (1).

CAUTION: During installation, make sure locking washers (1) are correctly seated, otherwise the glass roof cover will fly off.







Raise roof cover (1) at rear and remove towards rear.
Place roof cover on a clean surface.







Installation:
Side sealing lips on roof cover (2) must not be crushed.
Slide shoehorn hinges (1) on roof cover (2) into cover mount (3) on frame (4) and position roof cover (2) at rear on cover kinematics.

CAUTION:
- Check that glass roof cover is securely seated.
- Press glass roof cover at front/rear, left/right with palms of hands from bottom upwards.
- Glass roof cover must not be able to be raised upwards (wind noises).
- Make sure locking washers (1) are correctly seated.







Installation:
Check setting of glass roof cover; to do so, close roof cover completely.

Ideal setting:
Distance (A) of glass roof cover to roof at front and rear must be the same.
Insert credit or identity card between seal and glass roof cover. The card must encounter the same resistance.
Height:
Front -flush to 1 mm deeper
Rear -flush to 1 mm higher
If necessary, adjust glass tilt roof cover.
