Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair

Preliminary work is described in section on dismantling and assembling the cylinder head, refer to Cylinder Head Assembly, Service and Repair.
Removing all valve springs, refer to Valve, Intake/Exhaust, Service and Repair.





Remove valve stem seal with Special Tool 11 1 480.





Lubricate valve stem with oil and insert valve.
Fit Special Tool 11 1 960.
Coat new valve stem seal (1) with oil and install.





Press valve stem seal firmly home by hand with Special Tool 11 1 200.
