Oil Pan Replace

1. Raise and support vehicle, then drain engine oil.
2. Disconnect steering shaft from steering box.
3. Drain power steering reservoir, then disconnect hoses from reservoir and subframe and position aside.
4. Disconnect transverse link from engine carrier only.
5. Lower suspension subframe enough to allow pan removal.
6. On models with automatic transmission, remove dipstick tube.
7. Remove remaining oil pan mounting bolts, starting from transmission end, then the oil pan.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Clean all old sealing material from mating surfaces.
b. Coat mating surfaces with 3 bond 1209 sealer, or equivalent.
c. Position oil pan, install all bolts hand tight only.
d. Tighten bolts starting from front of engine.
