Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR IN LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR

Remove rear door trim panel. Service and Repair

Installation:
Adjust rear door window. Adjustments




Lower the window.

Lift out retainers.

Press window glass out of ball heads and slide up.




Pull off clip.

Lift out microswitch.

Lift out plug.




Unscrew screws.

Drill out rivets, if necessary.

Remove complete window regulator.




Installation:
If necessary, replace drilled out rivets with M 6 x 10 hexagon head screws, 6.4 washers and M 6 hexagon nuts.
Tightening torque = 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lbs.).




Unscrew screws.

Remove gearbox motor.
