The 740i, 740iL and 750iL E32 body styles were phased out during the 1994 model year.

The successor to the E32 body style is the E38. These new 1995 7 - Series will be available this fall. More detailed information will be published at a later date.

By matching the 6 - speed manual transmission from the 8 - Series with the 282 hp. 4.0 liter V8 engine from the 540i sedan, the 540i should be the perfect match for the BMW enthusiast who desires the ultimate in performance from a mid-sized sedan.

It is available only by special order.

Standard Equipment
In addition to the equipment in the 540iA, the 5401 features M-Technic sports suspension and front power sports seats.
