Replacing radial oil seal for output flange





Remove propeller shaft, refer to Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints.
Remove output flange.
Brace output flange with special tool 23 0 020 (retaining wrench).
Unscrew collar nut with a wrench socket. Pull off output flange.





Lift out radial oil seal (1).





Lubricate sealing lip with ATF.
Drive in radial seal with special tool 23 1 370 (impact bush).
Mount and bolt output flange.
Tightening torque: Mechanical Specifications
Check ATF level again, correcting if necessary.
