Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fuel Pressure Regulator Location:

Remove and Install.
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
2. Unscrew the fuel pressure regulator clamp bolt and remove the clamp.

WARNING: With the ignition "OFF", carefully bleed off residual fuel pressure by loosening the inlet hose to the fuel injector rail. Prevent fuel from coming into contact with hot engine components.

3. Pull the fuel pressure regulator from the injection rail.
4. Check for the proper I.D. code number on the fuel pressure regulator.
5. Replace seals.
6. Reinstall in the reverse manner.
