With Air Conditioning
Replacing Heater Core (With Air Conditioner)
- Pull off rubber part and pry out grill.
- Remove screws from cable channel.
- Remove screws on right-hand side and take off holder.
- Remove screw on left side and pull out air collector in upwards direction.
Note:
Air collector will be difficult to pull out.
- Removing heater controls. Service and Repair
- Removing Center Console.
- Loosen nut and place water flange to one side. Carefully blow air into the feed lines to prevent that residual cooling water in heater core does not drip onto carpet.
Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.6 ft lbs).
- Unscrew studs.
Installation Note:
Replace 0-rings.
For tightening torque 2 Nm (1.5 ft lbs).
- Unscrew bolts and pull back three-way-flange.
- Lift control unit out and disconnect plug.
- Unclip wiring harness from brackets on top, below and sides. Pull off connectors.
Note:
The air-conditioning system remains installed.
- Loosen bolts and place cover to one side.
- Unclip actuation lever and pry out air ducts with linkage.
- Pry out heater core towards front.
