Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Partially drain cooling system.
2. Remove thermostat cover mounting bolts, then the cover.
3. Remove thermostat and gasket.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten thermostat mounting bolts to specifications.
b. Bleed cooling system and check for coolant leaks.

Thermostat Removal.:

IMPORTANT:
- Vent or arrow points up.
- Replace O-ring.
- Coat O-ring lightly with glycerine.
