Coolant Reservoir: Service and Repair

REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COOLANT EXPANSION TANK







Caution!
Danger of scalding!
Unscrew expansion tank cap only when engine is cold.

Only drain coolant as far as lower edge of expansion tank.






Separate Expansion Tank

Remove vent hose.






Separate Expansion Tank

Remove coolant hose.






Separate Expansion Tank

Unclip coolant expansion tank from retaining clips and pull upwards to remove from bracket.






Integral Expansion Tank

Loosen bleeder screw (1).
Remove mounting screws (2) and take off upper section.






Integral Expansion Tank

Pull out expansion tank in upwards direction.

Installation:
Replace sealing rings.
