Notes on the BMW Diagnostic System

In the event of a defect, only the function "read/clear defect code memory" can be activated, the diagnostic procedure is not fully operable before switching the ignition off and on.

The ABS warning lamp lights constantly during the diagnostic procedure. A defect at the pedal position sensor may not be detected in diagnostic mode and at speeds less than 10 km/h.

Use the 55-pole universal adapter to perform tests.
