Output Shaft Bearing/Bushing: Service and Repair

Replacing Bearing On Transmission Extension (A5S 560Z)

- (output flange removed)




- Remove both inner bearing races.




- Lift out retaining ring.




- Remove ball cage.

Installation:
- Check installed direction.




- Heat transmission extension with a hot air blower around the inner bearing race to approx. 80°C.
- Press out outer bearing race.

Installation:
- Heat case once again.
- Install ball cage.
- Press in outer bearing race.
