Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair

REPLACING SOLENOID AND/OR PRESSURE REGULATOR
Remove
- Remove transmission oil sump, Service and Repair
- Pull concerned plugs off of solenoids





- Unscrew retaining rail and remove.








- Pull out solenoid or pressure regulator.

CAUTION: Solenoids must not be mixed up.
1 Solenoid
2 Pressure regulator - 13 mm dia. pin
3 Pressure regulator - 17 mm dia. pin





Installation
- Check O-ring condition.
- Install solenoids in such a manner that pins face in direction of the oil sump.





- Reinstall the curved retaining rail.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (4.5 ft lb).
