Removing and Installing Power Steering Pump

- Empty pressure reservoir by operating brake pedal about 20 times.

- Draw hydraulic fluid out of tank - don't reuse it.





- Disconnect lines.

Installation:
Replace gaskets.
Tightening torque M14 35 Nm, M16 40 Nm.
Bleed hydraulic system.





- Unscrew bolt (1).

- Loosen nuts (2) and turn the tensioning pinion - remove bolt (1).

Installation:
Tighten the drive bolt prior to tightening bolts (1).





Tighten the tensioning pinion with about 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.) torque and tighten nut.





- Check tightness of drive belt with Special Tool 11 5..

- Hook bears on tip of tooth.

Important! Make sure of sufficient clearance between hoses and body parts, making corrections on the hose connections if necessary.
