Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Remove and Install
1. Remove the intake collector insulation cover.

2. Remove the harness straps and the throttle cable.

3. Remove both cylinder head access covers.

4. Pull electrical connectors from the ignition coils.

5. Unclip and lay throttle cable (1) aside. Unscrew and lay wiring ducts (2) aside. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the fuel injectors.

6. Clamp the fuel supply and return hoses shut and disconnect the hoses.

7. Unscrew the fuel rail fasteners and remove the rail with injectors.

8. Press off clips and remove the fuel injectors from the rail.
9. Reinstall in reverse manner.
