Heater Core Case: Service and Repair

REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEATER (IHKA)

- Drain coolant.





- Discharge pressure in air conditioner slowly with help of a valve core remover.

- Remove complete dashboard.





- Pull up rubber profile.

- Pull off plug and spill hose on the expansion tank.





- Unscrew left and right nuts on the expansion tank and place tank aside.

- Hoses remain connected.

Note: Don't bend the coolant hose.





- Cut off wire straps.

- Tie up wire harness and, if necessary, bend down brake and fuel pipes carefully.





- Unscrew screws and pull up cover.





- Disconnect heater hoses (1...3).

2 Water feed - right
3 Water feed -left





- Unscrew nut.

Installation:
Tightening torque
Replace 0-rings.





- Unscrew screws.





- Unscrew left and right screws and take off holder.





- Lift out left and right ventilation ducts.

- Remove heater.
