Oil Seepage from Oil Filter Housing Cover

MODELS:
All with M60 Engine

Situation:
Oil seepage may occur from the oil filter housing cover due to manufacturing tolerances in the threaded sections of the housing and cover assembly.

A new O-ring, P/N 11 42 1 741 000, located on the oil filter housing cover is now available and should be installed in place of the early style O-ring whenever oil seepage coming from the oil filter housing cover is evident.

Note:
The new O-ring has also been incorporated in the oil filter insert kit, P/N 11 42 1 731 634.
