Failsafe Operation

When a system fault is detected, the transmission control unit (TCU) interrupts the power supply to the transmission valve body. The TCU alerts the driver of the faults by signaling the vehicle's check control system. To enable the vehicle to be driven to a workshop, the following manual gear selections are permitted:

Selector lever position P R N D 3 2 1
Gear selected P R N 4 4 3 3

THERE IS NO ELECTRONIC REVERSE LOCK-OUT PROTECTION WHEN IN FAILSAFE OPERATION.
