Center Support: Service and Repair

- Remove propeller shaft. Service and Repair





- Mark position of front to rear propeller shaft sections.

Important! Propeller shaft is balanced in assembled state, so that propeller shaft sections may not be turned during installation.





- Unscrew bolt.

- Pull off front propeller shaft section.

Installation:
• Assemble propeller shaft that punched marks are aligned.
• Install bolt with a bolt cement.
• Tightening torque 64 Nm (51 ft.lbs).





- Pull off center mount complete with the grooved ball bearing, using a standard puller.





Installation:
• Check Installed position of dust guard.





- Press grooved ball bearing into the center mount.





- Drive on center mount ball bearing with Special Tool 24 1 040.

Important! Check that center mount turns easily.
