Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

SOLENOID VALVES AND HYDRAULIC PRESSURE REGULATOR
Check resistance of solenoid valves and of the hydraulic pressure regulator by means of the universal adapter with the control unit disconnected and ignition switched "Off".

If values deviate, repeat test at gearshift unit (valve/solenoid body). If OK, repair wire, if not OK, remove gearshift unit and repair or replace solenoid valves.

9-pin Connector On Gearshift Unit:

9-PIN CONNECTOR ON GEARSHIFT UNIT
Use the T-adapter, BMW special tool No. 24 6 010 to make measurements at the 9-pin connector.
