Driveway Protection

All MY 1994 vehicles (E36, E34, E32, E31) will incorporate a driveaway protection as standard equipment, regardless if the vehicle is equipped with a BMW Alarm System or On Board Computer.

Whenever the vehicle is locked in the double lock mode, the engine's ignition and fuel injection functions are disabled.
This feature is independent of any BMW alarm system and of the "Code"
function of the BC. The driveaway protection system is activated by either mechanically engaging the door double lock with the vehicle master key, or by switching the double lock on using the remote control of a BMW alarm system. It is deactivated by unlocking the vehicle.
