Situation:
The only approved repairs to the driveshaft are replacement of the center mount, front flexible coupling (if applicable), and rear constant-velocity joint (if applicable). Any defect in a universal joint necessitates replacement of the complete driveshaft assembly. THE UNIVERSAL JOINTS ARE NOT SERVICEABLE ITEMS.

Only Original BMW parts have been tested to meet BMW specifications. BMW cannot be responsible for the performance of driveshafts remanufactured or repaired using non-BMW approved parts and/or repair procedures. BMW approved repair procedures require replacement of the complete driveshaft assembly when a defect is found with a universal joint.
