Throttle Plate - PFI: Testing and Inspection

Inspect The Throttle Valve Assembly For:
^ Vacuum leaks at fittings, gaskets and throttle shaft
^ Throttle shaft for binding or excessive clearance
^ Restricted passages
^ Enlarged passages (from prior insertion of wires or brushes)
^ Torn or damaged seals or gaskets
^ Loose or missing fasteners
^ Weak or damaged springs
^ Missing components

Repair or replace as necessary.

CAUTION: Do not soak the throttle valve housing in carburetor cleaner. Use only a spray type cleaner and compressed air to clean the unit.
