Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Idle Control Valve Location:

REMOVE AND INSTALL

Idle Control Valve R&R:

- Loosen hose clamp.
- Remove bellows (1).
- Pull off idling speed hose (2) and hose (3).

Idle Control Valve R&R:

- Disconnect coolant hose.
- Compress retainer and pull off plug (4).
- Unclip and pull out hose (5).

Idle Control Valve R&R:

- Pull off vacuum hose (6).
- Push idling speed control valve through retaining strap and remove.

Idle Control Valve R&R:

- Disconnect hoses (2 and 3) to replace the valve.

Idle Control Valve Code I.D.:

- Check code (9)
- Reinstall in reverse order
- Check idling speed
