Canister Purge Control Valve: Description and Operation

Air Mass Meter, EVAP Purge Valve:

PURPOSE
The purge valve controls purging of fuel vapors from the gas tank through the charcoal canister.

OPERATION
Activation of the valve is speed and load dependent, and is controlled by the Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit via the purge valve relay.
