Electrical Connector Release Tools

Situation:

Distribution of the following Electrical Connector Release tools for all models from 1994 Model year and later will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your PDC. Please refer to Parts Information bulletin 1-24 dated 4/95 for tool warranty details. All prices on this bulletin are introductory prices. Introductory prices are only valid during the Automatic Tool Shipment. The release tools should be stored in the Connector removal kit P/N 88 88 6 611 140 which was distributed in January 1991. Refer to Service Information 04 02 91(3189) for details. A new foam insert for the existing Removal kit box is included with the new tools. Also included with this shipment is a new instruction book that replaces the old one.

Position the release tool on the relay holder (1) as shown in figure r61 0244 and carefully pull it in the direction of the arrow (2) until the securing lugs open.
