Front Door Striker: Service and Repair

REPLACING AND ADJUSTING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR STRIKER





If applicable, mark installed position with a pencil.

If applicable, prevent threaded plate from falling out of the B pillar with a screw.

Installation:
- Tightening Torque: 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).




Pull off plug.

Lift out door striker.

If applicable, remove B pillar trim panel.

Installation:
- Check switch.
- Switch open = power flow.
- Switch pressed = interruption.




Installation:
- Screw on door striker lightly and align with lock.




Installation:
- Adjust door striker that outside surface of closed door is 1 mm (O.039") further out than surface of the rear door.
