Description of On-Board Diagnostic System

Notes on the BMW DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM:

Selection of the antitheft (DWA) program with number 6. On entry in the program the following overview page appears:

*D* 200 Status lists:

The status lists contain monitoring of the inputs and output status's and the comparison with the actual vehicle status.

*D* 900 Alarm counter:

This part of the program contains the alarm counter, defect counter, system test and defect symptoms.

*D* 999 Clear alarm counter:

In addition to the alarm counter, the defect counters (when equipped with auxiliary module) can be set to zero.

*D* 300 Lock signals/status DWA:

The lock signals and arming with IR are checked and the number of arm/disarm procedures and the status of the antitheft system (DWA) are monitored in chapter 300.

- Battery charged, U-min 12 V
- When monitoring the status lists, a waiting time of approx. 1-2 seconds must be allowed for in order to transmit actions performed at the vehicle to the display screen.
